To be honest, on me reading this back I probably didn't communicate it effectively enough! I was meaning that this is the line BA will tow (rightly or wrongly).

It may be worth asking the question as to why an automatic email isn't generated for a seat change as I'm sure that existing I.T. would allow for it.

If you do pose this question I would be interested in their response.
