MRU loads are particularly good in WT and WT+, I think this may be down to the fact that resorts alone are pricey in Mauritius and it is a more family-orientated place than MLE , there are often a lot of families on the MRU flights, especially around school holiday times. I think MLE would do great with an F cabin though, definitely a once in a lifetime trip for many as it is a big honeymoon destination, I think BA could fill an F cabin pretty easily in peak season!
Very nice to see LGW being treated well by BA! All they need now is a little bit of a lounge refurb, everything else to do with the BA operation is fantastic. Premium Gatwick, great check in area, I think it's great!
That is very true actually - I wonder if that is also the reason why CW prices to MRU (can't compare First to other routes now obviously) are noticably way below all the other African countries despite MRU being one of the more "long long-haul" type flights earning 160TPs each way as its over 6000 miles. By comparison Abuja, Accra, Lagos, Entebbe all top £3k but are shorter routes than MRU which is typically priced at £2k (£1700 in sales and got it for £1500 3 years ago).
Part of me was hoping they would offer First, priced as keenly as their CW offer (ie. cheaper than your average F flight) as I've never flown in the class before
