It's an MPM fare and LAX-HNL-SYD is not even 200 miles longer than LAX-SYD, so it shouldn't be a problem. Look at AS to HNL, since finding DL low to HNL is nearly impossible. I think you can redeem for the HA flights from HNL to SYD, but I always forget exactly what the rules are on HA flight redemptions. It doesn't look like routing to Asia and then on to Oz fits within the MPM restrictions, but TN via PPT could work out.
