I would seek to do as much of this trip as possible on VA. I think VA can be booked almost 365 days out, but DL will restrict you to 330. Since you'd probably be relying on DL to get you to HNL, I'm not sure there's any way around this unless someone here is more creative than me after a couple bourbons...
