OP, question for you:

You state "it was odd they allowed me to do a diamond force......then wanted to walk me."

Did you book directly with the hotel the Diamond force or was that through the general reservations or DD line? (I don't think it shows on the reservation that it was a Dforce reservation ---other than the rate being rack rate---so there may have been no way to tell).

Also, you were 'allowed' to do a Diamond Force because its a benefit of your diamond membership.

I'm not sure what happened to need to walk a Diamond member, but it's a really good thing they were able to accommodate you and all turned out well. I am certain the hotel did not want to walk a diamond member.

I wouldn't recommend relying only on the comments section. If you are planning a late arrival it's really best if you call the hotel direct to let them know.
