No, it does not sound like a complaint and much less whingeing. Someone definitely dropped the ball at the property IMO - whoever is charged with room assignments, most likely, compounded by the FDC.
IMO one of the challenges of the hotel industry is that they are a "gut" for front line folks - they pass in and out like, well, you get the idea. I did significant training for a hotel chain on these kinds of issues (diversity, taking different forms of personal "common sense" and integrating new employees into the culture, procedures and SOP of the chain and property). Harder to do when you have folks come and go like popcorn at a movie.

I am not complaining at all and hope my post didn't sound like I was. If I was with a family or ate in the hotel, I may have been upset about not having the kitchen.
I just thought it was odd they allowed me to do a diamond force last week and then wanted to walk me. I also thought it was strange they are in an oversell and had an empty room type you can't even book on their site.
