Back to the Park Hyatt...Overall, it was an average stay.

I was "lucky" enough to use my diamond upgrade for a "Junior Suite" which really wasn't a suite at all. It was an elongated room with a sofa and two chairs. A bit disappointing when considering what a suite was in Park Hyatt Seoul, Park Hyatt Saigon, Park Hyatt Shanghai, Park Hyatt Buenos Aires, and Park Hyatt Beijing were.

Nonetheless, we're in Paris and not in our room a lot. (Though, having a separate living room would have been nice.)

The BIG minus about this trip was that I went to pick up a nice fancy Spiegelau and pour my Evian into and drank half the glass until I noticed something really funny tasting in my mouth. It was a sour taste and I thought that was strange.

Having taken a look at the cup again, I thought I saw some white pieces of dough like material stuck to the glass. I was in disbelief. I had to put the glass down against a white piece of paper and found that there was something stuck to the glass and that it was not fully cleaned. Disgusting!

In any case, after rinsing my mouth a few times, I decided to take a photo of it and put it on my twitter.

When one is paying EUR 700+ a night, at least ensure the glassware is clean! I know I should have double checked, but I thought the Park Hyatt the summit of the Hyatt portfolio. Never expected them to skimp on the dishwasher!

The PLUS was that dinner at Pur' Restaurant was one of the best French restaurants I've been to and is a great value. (We went to a Ducasse restaurant which was total crap and overpriced, so I'm still a bit bitter about that).

Not sure we'll come back to stay at the Park Hyatt Paris again next time. :-(

All in all, the trip could have been better...
