My understanding for 77W is a 777-300ER with 2 seating classes namely Economy and Premium Economy for certain sectors or less lucrative market. Gone are the First and Businness, you have a downgrade for the First/Business but a souped up version of Economy to Premium Economy.
It is all comes down to economics, less paying or more empty seats in First/Business means a loss in revenue. Hence by doing away those seats CX will hopefully increase the overall revenues in the long run, since PE is NOT beyond the reach of casual travelers.
Not sure how many people is going to take the bait and pay extra for the PE although you can enjoy the creatures' comfort and frills offered by PE as in the First/Business class.

b-hqb is correct and I do not think CX (the mainline) has the intention in flying aircraft that has no J. To me what you said is completely inaccurate.
