When a foreign carrier has part of the flight, it usually takes a day to get it confirmed, which is understandable. And then shortly thereafter the seat gets assigned, but you have to contact the foreign carrier for seat info. I usually sign up for an account on that foreign airline, then call them for the Itinerary code and monitor the flight that way.
