I reserved a Premium (G) car with satellite in ATL this past Thursday and received my mobile alert email that I was assigned a Buick Regal (YF) in stall number xxx. When I arrived, a different name was over the stall and it was a different car. (This stall was about as far from the gold counter as possible in ATL.)
At the Gold counter, I was told that they didn't have any other cars and that my original car was now parked in a closer spot. Never received a mobile alert update email (as I have in the past) and was actually charged the full Premium price for my YF Regal. I notice that the final reciept shows I rented a G even though the contract and key showed YF.
The Regal is a nicer car than the Cruze, but around the same size for the driver and grossly underpowered with the 2.4 ecotec engine. But I survived the rental and am too tired of fighting with Hertz over being overcharged and/or downgraded to fight a battle over this one.
