well what I know is that he inquired and they sent him a PDF with pics and rates and whatnot.
Upon checkin he talked to a manager about accomodating everybody in a larger suite. They swapped 2 wraps for a 3-bedroom.
There are more details online just do a google search. Also he told me that he reserved with them which he told me was a big plus(vs. reserving with Marriott which takes a cut)

Could you give some more details? Is your friend MR Plat or above? Upgrade confirmed in advance or at check-in? Manager involved?

I have two terrace 1-bdroom-suites reserved and would swap to one bigger suite not listed....
