Sometimes it seems an ES must get seriously out of date before they get to a refurbishment. Remember SFO? But I do think there is a pretty good mix of properties, and at least it was never as lame as "Holidome" - remember those? (I spent too many nights at "Holidumbs" on the road where there was no HGI or even HI&S.)
