I feel the nose of the 747 is more special and intimate than the forward cabin of a 346. We've only flown F once in a 747, for a quick TATL flight, and we really enjoyed it. By comparison, LH F in the 346 was, of course, terrific because it was F, but it wasn't as exclusive feeling -- or as quiet -- as SQ F.

Are you sure? Our seat maps -- before they changed the planes -- showed only 10 seats in F. That sounds like the "new" 747s to me...
