I had the AmEx Delta card and when I tried to cancel it in march 2010, the rep asked me why I wanted to cancel..and I told her I wanted the AmEx HHonors Surpass card---well, instead of canceling the Delta card, she 'turned' it into an Amex HHonors Surpass card (same credit card number)....but the annual fee is coming up for this and I wanted to cancel it.

Since I got this card, I stayed at a Hilton only once (and the company paid for it)....I dont anticipate staying at any hilton anytime soon......and it ties up a slot for gaining another American Express card for me.

Wanted to get thoughts on canceling this .......input?
