I'm with you - the good news about J, and not just on the UD, is that on shortish night flights the service is pretty quick and then it's lights out. Whereas in F you might be seated next to someone enjoying fulsome service for hours, which can be very annoying. The biggest contrast is on Sleeper Service flights, of course, which are pretty efficient in getting the cabin quiet in J.
