I think it originally was a Deutsche Bank project and Hyatt was supposed to run the hotel. When the economy tanked the project tanked and I think they had various construction issues.

I just had a two night stay there but I have no status with Marriott. Overall a very nice property and the Terrace Suite was one of the nicest rooms I have had in Vegas. Dinner at STK Steakhouse was very good but the blaring music ruined the atmosphere during dinner.

Would stay at the hotel again without hesitation and think it's one of the nicest places to earn hotel points at in the city. Hotel points options just aren't great in the city...even though HH just added the Planet Hollywood Westgate Tower last week.
