I would never mix a really good Irish whisky (or any other good malt, for that matter!) with anything other than a couple drops of distilled water. Jameson, Powers, etc., tho, I don't mind drinking mixed with club soda on the rocks. It's refreshing on a hot day, but the flavor still comes through the carbonation, IMO.

stimpy, totally OT, but I went to a Paris bistro you recommended in another thread (Bistro Mazarin) and was totally blown away. It was fantastic! I'm leaving March 8 to spend 10 days in Provence, based in Bonnieux. Any rec's down in that area? We can take this to PM if that's better.
