I boarded and got to my seat, an aisle seat in J, first row. Shortly thereafter the FAs brought an immensely large woman up from the back of the bus and sat her next to me. She barely fit in the J seat and required a seat-belt extension. Off we went and when lunch came, the problem was that her tray wouldn't slide into place, on account of her girth. Fortunately, there was another seat free so I went over there and she used my tray. Later I returned to my seat and hunkered down to get some work done. An hour before landing the FAs came through the cabins serving ice cream and cookies, which I declined on account of my own waistline which is, shall we say, not decreasing. The lady next to me asked for, and received, two of each, which she managed to eat without having to dislodge me from my seat to use my tray. This was followed by 30 minutes of uncontrolled flatulence as we descended into Vancouver. I was happy to get off that plane.
Was there no more seats in Y? I feel sorry to her seatmate in Y if there were no more space in Y or J . You could've done her a favour by not declining the icecream, have one spoon and leave it, then there wouldn't be an extra one for her
