As a Plat in both programs, I tend to agree with most of your assessment. Except for this one. I'm not sure what you mean by "perspective of Platinum in both programs." I've not really received any benefits at virtually any HI that I've stayed at. At least with CYs, I'm upgraded to a suite room more than not. So I'd say the CY actually has been giving me more Plat benefits than the HIs.
