So far I have almost exclusively flown kingfisher on my trips to india usually flying between Bangalore and Delhi. I was building up miles on kingfisher hoping that would get me some advantage when they are in one world.
My last experience with them in January was horrible and of course they are not part of one world so as an AA exp I get no advantage flying them.
Considering IT is out what's the best airline to fly between Bangalore and Delhi considering I will have atleast one bag. Not that it is relevant but I will be flying BA to Bangalore and out of Delhi though on a separate itinerary.

If you want LCC, Indigo is probably the best. I've had good experiences with Spicejet as well, but when IRROPS hit, apparently they are hard to deal with. GoAir has a tiny fleet and is probably more likely to hit IRROPS, if they even operate the route.
As for FSCs, I am a big proponent of Air India. They have the best food in the sky (and nobody has argued with me on that yet). Since I like my airline meals to be good, I always fly Air India...
Others will recommend Jet Airways for some reason or the other, but their idea of food is
cockroaches...
Anybody who recommends Kingfisher is likely on crack.
