When I was a kid growing up in Prescott, a decent pair of cutoffs lasted about three trips down Slide Rock, and then you had to change into a new pair.

This is a good time of the year to visit PHX; the heat isn't too oppressive, and there's often a bit of rain to clear the smog and make the desert bloom. And the baseball teams have just started spring training.
