(There are at least 3 different 777 versions at Gatwick.)

It is possible that a 4-class aircraft will operate the route and as a BA GOLD you should get priority. Note that if this happens, you will get the First cabin but with Club catering / service. Obviously not everybody booked in club will be lucky.... so keep watching the seat plan close to departure....and select one of the seats!!!!

How do you (both) like sitting backwards? The middle pairs are ideal for a couple..... the last row in the front CW cabin means you don't have to step over anybody to get out....

All the window seats are rear facing; all the aisle seats are forward facing. Remember, if you take an aisle seat, the person in the window seat in the row in front of you (or middle seats) will have to step over you to get out....
Other factors to consider maybe how often you need to get up on the night flight? how quickly do you want to get fed?
Young children are often accommodated in the very last row, which is just in front of the World traveller+ cabin....
Decisions, decisions!
Flying this route / class in July, so thanks for the heads up
