I'll try an agent, but I am expecting to be laughed off the phone. I know, I have the audacity of trying to redeem an award that the SkyMiles calender shows as low. (I realize how this works, but I may at times be smarter than the average bear..)
SkyMiles aren't hard to use, providing: 1.) You don't care what you pay and 2.) You are redeeming on Delta metal. In fact, they go down like free wine at a hotel comp bar if you don't care about those two things.
Frankly, Mom isn't quite worth the 80K miles for the F ticket. She can sit in Y.
