Andreabdc is correct. If you can't get availability from YYZ to JFK, you should have no trouble getting from YYZ to LGA, as AA operates several flights every day to LGA.
CAUTION! I recently transferred points from SPG to LANpass with the intention of flying from YYZ to New York, and the transfer took 53 days. Make sure you have sufficient points in your LANpass account when making your travel plans.
The taxes and fees for YYZ-LGA round trip are about $64.00.
