Was also told that transferring BAEC to Avios does not count as activity. What I did to create activity was made a small e-bay purchase of £1 through Avios shopping which although is yet to post, is showing as 2 Avios pending. Hopefully this will post in time for this quarter (up till end of Feb) therefore satisfying the "activity" rule and then I can exchange my £7.50 worth of CC vouchers which should hopefully then trigger the 2k Avios quarterly bonus.
Ok, that does not relate to my query, which was whether a transfer from BAEC->Avios is treated as collecting with BA into Avios (BA is listed as 1 of the 4 partners from which you can get a 2K per quarter bonus).
