A friend just booked his 85th stay using his 'complimentary night' along with a paid night. He was informed that he will not have benefits on the 2nd night.

He called me and asked... Does his free internet then end at 4pm?

This policy has really NOT been thought out well. If you ask me, it should be rescinded. But what do I know? I'm only one of your loyal customers.
I totally agree with SeanthePilot!! Having purchased the Starwood Privilege package through SGS recently, i also found the email from Tomo difficult to swallow. What that email is saying to me is that SGS is counting the nickels and dimes over the free Plat breakfast and drinks for that ONE comp night that is included in the SP pack. C'mon now, how much is that really costing the hotel?? But by doing so, SGS is leaving a bitter after-taste, which is a real shame as we have always enjoyed staying at SGS.

Is this really what SGS wants to achieve? Does SGS really want to alienate Plats who are also holders of the SP pack (which i should also remind you that they were purchased through SGS itself!). To be clear, i can completely understand banning the Plat benefits for stays that were booked through 3rd party booking websites like Expedia, but i simply do not understand why this should also apply to Plats who paid good money directly to SGS to buy the SP pack. Could Tomo or Richard kindly enlighten us??
