Your HKG flights normally land in T1 - both inbound and outbound - and as long as you have 60 minutes, you should be fine - airport operations are very efficient. Signs & directions are bilingual and user-friendly as you step off the jetway & onto the terminal, there are people movers to "speed" your walk if you are running behind schedule, chances are very good that your long-haul will arrive on-time or even early.
Just follow the signs/arrows to the transfer/transit area to go thru security after you 1st. stop at your airline's transit desk (re-confirm/change seating assignment/upgrade, gate assignment, and, an agent stamp required if you've done OLCI before leaving). It could be a long walk depending on gates assigned.
If you are running behind, ask for help to speed thru security if necessary. BP and travel documents will be checked at transit security, carry-ons will be x-rayed plus hand wand/quick patdown - then proceed upstairs to departure level for your gate.
There are airport "ambassadors" wearing red, easily identified, to help give directions and/or answer visitor's questions, etc.
As long as you have 60+ minutes (qualified as legal connection) between flights - you are fine. Maybe enough time to check out some of the airport shops & eatery (there are no sales tax in H.K. so we always skip the "duty-free" stores.)
