8 Both work and pleasure. Yes, can choose airline.
Started to look at alternatives to BD, but A3, TK and Asiana all seem to offer little or no miles for deep discounted cheap fares..
Programs that offer status based on number of flights taken (MM Frequent Flyer Silver for 30 flights) suit my travel profile, but not so easy to earn *A Gold this way.
What would you advise is my best option to replace BD Diamond Club?
I'm a relatively newbie. If you cannot make Gold easily, then you don't have much choice. Generally speaking, yeah A3 and OZ are the easiest for Gold. But need more points for rewards. They are about the same, maybe A3 for you since you are in EU. Depends what you want more. My mother for eg .. didn't want status so she just took AC b/c the rewards were easier as too was the long expiry so she could use the years to clock up the points.
