I suggest checking out the Marriott thread on TUB BBS. (Link in a previous post.) Lots of solid advice on the resale market for safe transactions. Buying from a private party is, by far, cheaper than anything you will find retail. As low as 90% off. But, use a reliable settlement company to protect your interests. Also, Marriott has a ROFR on all secondary market sales.
