Wow. They must have just changed this.
I have had plenty of Maximas and I have yet to see a single one with any upgrades over the base model. They do not have leather, satellite, or any of the myriad of options that the LaCrosse has. It is a decidedly entry level full-size car with a slushy CVT transmission and horrible fuel economy. Not very different from the old Impalas, and
definitely NOT a "premium" car.
So in summary, now the (stated) sedan options are:
Note the quotes around the deceptive car classes!
- "Intermediate" - Corolla (compact)
- "Standard" - 2 door Altima (midsize coupe)
- "Full Size" - Malibu (midsize)
- "Premium" - Maxima (entry full-size)
- "Luxury" - Towncar (boat with wheels)
Hertz has now succeeded in making sure that all of their offerings, regardless of price, are equally unappealing to me!
