I switched from Hilton (12 years as Diamond) to Hyatt about 2 years ago and the only thing negative has been the lack of coverage. I hope they don't track how many nights are at Hyatt Place vs full service because in many places I travel to frequently, HP is the only option.

But when it comes to service and consistency, Hyatt has far out shined Hilton. Service/upgrades/attitude/points redemption/etc. Bottom line: I feel welcomed by Hyatt whereas Hilton seems to care less if they ever see me again.
