This looks to be the case. While playing around with the MPM feature within EF last night, as suggested by 3Cforme, the short segments appear as actual miles. And as you have noted, the MPM feature does show the additional 600 mile allowance for connecting through CDG. Not sure that it is really worth the hassle, but I would consider it if I need the mileage in order to position ourselves to connect to an A380.

And a routing question. Skymile awards allow only for one destination and one stopover, correct? No layovers of less than 24 hours are allowed in routing?
