It may not be sustainable, but in its current state, Japan's health care system serves people a hell of a lot better than America's (which is also unsustainable, current form or Obamacare) does.
Was this directed at me? If so, then in answer, yes I do. With each an every aspect I criticized.

To state, as you have done, that you believe Japan's health care to be better than other options, is indicative of not having any idea of comparables. Is it cheaper? In terms of what one pays for an individual hospital visit, yes. Is it cheaper when merging cost and performance? Not even close. It is, by that comparison and absolute disaster. And moreover run by a government that sees fit to raise the acceptable level of radioactive isotopes in its food supply simply to make more food "legal". That is the care one gets from the healthcare system administrators here.

Japan is a wonderful place I love to call home, but healthcare, among few other things is not one of its strong suits.
