Any suggestions on cheap rental co's and park tickets also appreciated.

There are a couple of nice resort hotels in Newport Beach, which has the advantage of being located near Fashion Island and South Coast Plaza, two high-end shopping malls which your daughters might enjoy. Newport Beach is about 7 minutes from SNA. There are plenty of good and interesting restaurants in the area. Laguna Beach and Balboa Island, both fun and interesting shore destinations, are both within 10 minutes or so, and its even close enough to Anaheim so that you can drive to see the mouse (about 20 minutes with no traffic), and you'll still be able to stay in comfortable and relaxing surroundings. I would definitely recommend renting a car, however. There is no usable public transportation to speak of in Orange County, unless you want to devote an enormous amount of time to waiting for and riding uncomfortable buses.
