You have offered this thesis before. Can you point to data confirming that USA-IST fares are a better use for long-haul capacity than the SEA-KIX, SEA-PEK, DTW-HKG, DTW-ICN, DTW-PVG, ATL-JNB, LAX-SYD... routes that Delta has added in the past few years?

JFK-IST probably serves corporate contract demand adequately. IMHO new cities non-stop is a better use of capacity than more flights to the same destination.
