DL was by far the choice for this route and quite frankly no one preferred TK.
In the meantime Turkish Airlines has not only gone from having a 1x daily service (after having previously done so via BRU) to a 2x daily service and as just announced for this summer a 3x daily service! This is in addition to TK daily service to LAX as well as services to Chicago, Washington and Toronto, they are currently mulling other North American destinations as well.
What on Earth is Delta thinking? Are they going to do a BOM and after having done nothing worthwhile for years to improve their competitive situation, abandon the route? I would really hope/think that Delta should be considering getting the ATL route back up pretty quickly if they want to compete??!!
I flew TK a couple of times. Not amazing but not bad. I liked the soup in J. I would take DL over TK though.
