OP said both reservations are 1 bedroom. But unless they are the same view, he'll have to move. They are probably 5 or 6 different view categories at the Maui Ocean Club.
I stayed at Ko'Olina on a paid stay for 2 nights (1 bedroom) followed by a timeshare exchange into a 2 bedroom for 7 nights. Even though they were the same room type I had to move. I was hoping they would just open the studio for me after the first 2 nights.
The vacation club properties have inventory allocated for different check-in days (Fri, Sat & Sun). Some units are designated as rental units. They also give first dibs to owners who are using their own weeks.
