I always wonder about this because one of my bags is a few inches over the 62". Not been stopped so far but make sure its underweight.

Got to admit I wouldn't be happy if the airline charged me $200 for a bag a few inches too big though. Especially when its only $70 for a whole extra bag. (talking about CO transatlantic here - 1st bag is free).

I often wonder whether the large fee is to put off people trying it on with massively huge checked luggage and that they'd rarely if ever charge that?
