Regarding QV, I see there carry-on threshold is smaller than the standard rollerboard - no doubt because of the planes they fly.

Will they let me gate check it free, or will I be forced to check it and pay extra baggage?

While I'm on it, do I get the 10 kilos extra from being a flyer bonus member on Laos Air's segments of the discovery pass, just like I do on Bangkok air?

(Laos air's website says "information on checked bags will be posted soon").
