I guess it doesn't hurt to ask the desk agents when checking in today. The reason why I posted it here was to see if there was any success stories (as the help threads show in this forum show no stand-bys without re-faring the ticket) was this pulled from the oneworld.com website:

And David-A, the only reason IB is affecting me (if BA will allow) is the affected IB customers needing to travel and using BA as an alternative.
