At this point, I am guessing the whole thing was an error -- yes I know how rare errors occur within Hilton's IT infrastructure.

Since the initial appearance of what seemed to be Diamond point stretcher awards a couple of weeks ago, I have yet to see them again. I have spot checked a few properties in different locales and over a variety of dates and these awards do not seem to have resurfaced.

Perhaps they jumped the gun on some future planned enhancement or perhaps it was something that was once on the table and they later decided to nix.

Who knows, they may pop up again, someday.
