However, I still fly them frequently because the final price is often 1/2 that of any of their competitors. You've got to work them and not let FD work you. 1st - buy in advance. If you're lucky, you can catch a deal. 2nd - pick your seats. Give 'em the 2 bucks and sit up front. 3rd - take just a small bag and leave all that stuff you don't need at your hotel in Bangkok (or wherever you're flying out of) or at a locker at the airport. If you've got more - pay in advance. I've got a backpack that's way bigger than their carry on limit and I've gotten through w/out paying 20 times. I don't take them if I have to be at the destination on time. I don't take them if I have a ton of luggage. I don't take them if I can't pick my seat. Last minute, I take somebody else. wj
