Every time there is a schedule change - it updates in the GDS automatically - and you can see the changes using your Aeroplan PNR in manage my booking on Aircanada.com immediately. UA like clockwork loads schedule changes Saturday morning.
Its up to Aeroplan to clean up the booking and re-issue/re-validate the ticket, United cant do anything on a 014 AC stock ticket, but inform of the schedule change, which is done automatically. The changes are loaded, but nothing is done until Aeroplan cleans up the ticket, which obviously they are not proactive about.
Most of us on this site are pretty anal about monitoring our bookings, and would never let a schedule change get unnoticed for too long
