Can someone explain this to me?
I've only been traveling for the past 3 years or so and since I'm ATL based I pretty much stay with DL. So I don't really know know much, but so far what By reading the threads I've been able to gather is the following.
- There was an announcement/program change more than 3 years ago. After this announcement a lot of people started spending all their miles before this policy took effect. What exactly happened?
- In an attempt to increase customer service, Delta is handing out more free miles, but not increasing the number of revenue seats. Which means more seats are being booked and thus devaluation.
- At some point WSJ had written a bad article regarding SkyMiles, Richard Anderson had taken notice apparently. Can someone link me on this?
- Delta has 3 classes to redeem, unlike other airlines that have 2.
- What else?
Edit: I guess I should have tried searching better, just found those two threads that explain a bit more:
