Arrived late and was assigned room 506, a smallish room with a large balcony with a table, two chairs and a lounge chair. Too bad the weather was so cold it couldn't be enjoyed.
The room itself was efficient and the bed was a king sized fantastic. Very comfortable yet supportive. ^ The big flat screen TV had about half of the channels coming through in HD, which was nice. The staff was helpful and friendly and spent much of their time helping tourists with getting around.
Now the minuses..the room had a huge draft in it coming from the glass door/window that opens out onto the balcony. The desk is placed against the glass so if you're sitting at the desk, you will feel the cold air coming in. Even with the blackout curtains drawn. The bathroom has only a standup shower but has a nice design. And the internet...slow slow slow! My AT&T iPhone is faster!
This was my first time staying in Brooklyn. There are two subway stations on opposite sides of the hotel. Easy access. Being in downtown Brooklyn, I noticed a distinct lack of taxis and drugstores. Getting to JFK at dark o'clock? Car service. Hope this was helpful.
