Hi!

I was wondering whether anyone can explain the statement summary for my amex this month, there is a deduction I don't recognise.

I appreciate amex could probably explain this with a call, but I've been meaning to register as a user and start posting so I'm using this as the excuse to do so ^

Essentially, I have the no-fee British Airways AMEX card to earn avios towards the exec club, it's my first month and I've hit the £1000 spend promotion for the 9000 bonus, but the total avios to be transferred to my account is only 9,444!

I assumed it would be at least 10,000 (1 point per £1, £1000 spent to trigger the 9000 bonus would result in at least 10,000)

On the transaction list is this:
8/02/2012 BAC Consumer Base Avios -570

(edit: I did purchase avios as part of this £1000 spend, but it was only a transaction for £399, so even if they didn't want to include that in my spend I'd only expect a minus 399 not 570!)

There are no transactions of that amount to result in a chargeback from any refund (and I have not had any refunds on transactions since opening the card). Is there some sort of maximum ceiling on this card? Eitherway, 9444 is an odd ceiling if so!
