Hi,

I believe that i can use my BA Avios points to upgrade on American Airlines by purchasing WP+ and upgrading to business, so i was surprised when i called BA today to try and do that and was told i cannot. The route i am trying to book is LAX to BNE, which is on a Qantas plane, but the flight has an AA flight number but the lady told me that it does not work on these flights.

Has anyone tried to do this or got any advice for this, i dont really want to use the 200,000 miles to go business from LAX to BNE on full points.
