This doesn't address the OP's question, but is relevant to the thread title. The Taj hotels are great. The Taj loyalty program is worthless. As a good flyertalker, I sign up for every program that I might ever use. I've stayed at Taj hotels in 6 cities (they're great), but I've only ever gotten points for internet charges, as the stays all seem to be ineligible rates. And one of my Taj bills was by far the highest bill I've ever paid at a hotel.

p.s. If you get a chance and have the budget, stay at the Taj lake palace hotel in Udaipur!
