I call it an app, or a script, vs a system as it (from what I have been told) has very limited functionality, but those that have used it tell me that it works very well in a lobby checkin situation, and can even checkin multiple people on the same reservation at one time (imagine a concept like that!)......

Yes, we have "CHECK-IT" at our (test) station. It's pretty basic right now and plans are to expand on it. Easy enough screen with a pull-down tab to find reservations by PNR# or name or mileage number. There is even ability to retrieve entire psgr name list (with PNR#'s next to the names for easy find if there are similar or duplicate names). It also has tabs for involuntary and voluntary reroute. It does the exchange (or syncing as CO is so fond of calling it) for you. Check-it will display passenger itinerary and bag options number of bags, heavy bags, etc. which will then accordingly price in a right hand column. Very easy to use, very easy on the eyes.
That's where it ends for now. If you're doing anything more "complicated" other than a basic check-in and bag issue, (like ticketing or faring issues), you need to go back to native SHARES. Also one glitch we are finding is that when you toggle back to the SHARES screen from this CHECK-IT window, it automatically signs you out of CHECK-IT and you have to keep signing back into it.
CHECK-IT is already in three computers (out of about 20) on our ticket counter and supposedly all computers will have the app access by March 3rd.
It will be much better, but as mentioned earlier - WHY WASN'T THIS ALL CREATED AND SORTED OUT WHEN THE MERGER WAS SOLIDIFIED ?? They could have been working on a much easier to use system in the year-and-a-half we've already been merged. I know nothing about computers and IT etc. but is it that hard to do this ?? (Channa ??).
