Hoping someone with a better understanding of TP can help me with one. I need 80 TP to retain my silver status before March 8th.

Work is taking me to Sao Paulo on the March 7th (though I may go on the 6th for a jolly). Returning from AUS on the 17th, internals are dealt with separately.

They've done some quick research and so they know that the ballpark figure is $1000US for the above, economy (difficult times!)

Much more than that and I'd have to contribute, which is fine of course if I get to keep my benefits... can anyone think of a way of getting 80 TP for that first leg?

Breaking the journey up could help? 10 for LHR to MAD, then ? for MAD-GRU?
Maybe a cash upgrade to premium economy from LHR?
